Every student deserves a chance to finish school.
We work as a bridge between willing financial supporters with students in need who cannot afford tuition or boarding fees.

Your Generosity keeps a Student in School.
Every year, capable students face the possibility of dropping out-not because they lack potential, but because their families cannot afford school fees.
Lighthouse Scholarship Program bridges that gap. We work with partner schools to identify students in genuine financial need and connect them with donors who are willing to invest in their education.

Students who need support

Maclean
≈ UGX 570,000
Dream: Becoming a nurse. She is the very first child in her entire family to reach secondary school. Raised by a hard-working single mother, Maclean dreams of becoming a nurse so she can treat people in need.

Tracy
≈ UGX 950,000
Dream: Continuing her education. Her family is in a medical crisis, as her father is battling stage 3 cancer. All family income goes toward his treatment, which sadly prevented Tracy from reporting for her second term.

Gift
≈ UGX 760,000
Dream: Staying in school. She is supported by her unemployed sister. Because they cannot afford boarding fees, Gift must walk incredibly long distances to and from school every day just to learn. For most of this term she has been sent home by administrators due to unpaid tuition, causing her to miss most of her classes.
More than school fees -- skills for a brighter future

Tailoring & sewing
Students learn to measure, cut and machine-sew garments — a trade they can run from home or a small shop.

Jewelry making
Beadwork and paper-bead craft: low start-up cost, easy to sell at markets and to visitors.

Home Economics
Cooking, baking and food-service training for personal and a catering business of one's own.
How to give
Funds are processed through Lighthouse Farms International (Reg. No. G241028-1663), a registered non-profit in Uganda, under the Child Scholarship program.
Give from the United States (tax-deductible)
We partner with two U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profits that act as conduits for the ministry. Donations made through either partner are tax-deductible, and 100% of your gift goes to the designated student or program — operational costs are covered separately, not by donor contributions.
- FCG Ministries (Wheat Ridge, CO) — fcgministries.org, donations@fcgministries.org, 720-201-6268
- International Council of Friends (Chicago Executive Forum, Chicago, IL) — a 501(c)(3) non-profit
